Guidelines

Please be patient.        This page is under construction!        These guidelines are subject to revision.

Please, read the following guidelines for sharing your experience, strength and hope:

NOTE: Submissions will not be posted unless it meets our guidelines.

Guideline 1:

In our meetings we share our personal experience, strength, hope and inspiration with fellow recovery members. Our purpose is to encourage, build up and strengthen our recovery from our compulsive behaviors, through sharing positive messages of truth, courage and the overcoming of adversity. Feel free to share both your problems and their solutions. Please remember to always use courtesy and respect.

Guideline 2:

Although ours is a spiritual program, each member of our groups interprets this spiritual side in his/her own way. Therefore, in order to protect the spiritual program of all our members who wish to share, we use the terms God, God of my understanding, HP, or Higher Power, when referring to our spiritual work.

Guideline 3:

Negative messages that attack or put down others is considered "flaming" and we ask that you refrain from "venting" in your share. Any derogatory language will be removed.

Guideline 4:

We reserve the right to edit any share submitted. Our committee will examine each share and edit as necessary to remove any derogatory language. We also reserve the right to edit content for grammar, punctuation, and spelling. We will strive not to change the content of the message in any way. We will send the revised version back to you for approval. It will then be your responsibility to re-submit it with your approval.

Thank you for helping make this website a safe place for all of us to share our recovery!
